End of over 168: Bangladesh 551 for 6: What a contrasting picture in Galle!! After making history for Bangladesh Mushfiqur Rahim departs. Kulasekara trapped him in front of the wicket and captain departs for exactly 200. They are still trailing by 19 runs.

End of over 166: Bangladesh 546 for 5 at lunch: Another session goes in Bangladesh's favour. They have lost only one wicket and that of Mohammad Ashraful for 190. Mushfiqur Rahim is not out on 198, just couple of runs away from making a history for Bangladesh. Nasir Hossain is batting on 61.

End of over 163: Bangladesh 537 for 5: Another fantastic partnership is on progress. Nasir Hossain has already raised his fifty and looks very solid and on the other side Mushfiqur Rahim is not far away to become the first man from Bangladesh to make a double hundred. He is batting on 195.

End of over 154: Bangladesh 500 for 5: Bangladesh have reached 500-run mark. Such a brilliant effort from them. This is the only second time they have scored 500 runs in Tests. Mushfiqur Rahim is inching closer to his double ton as he and Nasir Hossain have shared a partnership of 56 already.

End of over 148: Bangladesh 473 for 5: Nasir Hossain has joined Mushfiqur Rahim in the middle. Both of them are trying to build a partnership once again. Rahim is the key man here for Bangladesh as they are still trailing by 97 runs.

End of over 141: Bangladesh are 446 for 5: Mohammad Ashraful tried to hit Herath over his head but he mistimed it and the edge went straight to Angelo Mathews in first slip. Ashrafulful departs for 190 and it is a huge set back for Bangladesh. Rangana Herath picks up the key wicket.

Day 3 summary: Mohammad Ashraful and Mushfiqur Rahim took Bangladesh to a comfortable position on Day 3. In reply to Sri Lanka's 570, Bangladesh are now 438 for 4 trailing by 132 runs. Ashraful is batting on 189 and Rahim is on 152. Only two wickets fell on Day 3 that of Mominul Haque and Mahmudullah.
